What is the GED®?

The GED® (General Educational Development) is an internationally recognised high school equivalency certificate, registered at NQF Level 4 – the same level as a National Senior Certificate (Matric). It is accepted by universities, employers, and training institutions across South Africa and worldwide.

GED® Subjects

The GED® exam covers four subject areas. Our curriculum is designed to help you master each one with confidence.

Mathematical Reasoning

Basic maths, geometry, algebra, graphs, and functions. Focus on problem-solving and quantitative reasoning skills needed for real-world applications.

Reasoning Through Language Arts

Reading comprehension, grammar, essay writing, and critical analysis of literary and informational texts.

Science

Life science, physical science, and earth/space science. Emphasis on scientific reasoning, interpreting data, and understanding experiments.

Social Studies

History, civics, geography, and economics. Focus on critical thinking, analysing primary sources, and understanding civic principles.
